This piece is inspired by the traditional story of the shepherd following the Star of Bethlehem after the birth of Jesus Christ. The shepherd surely had no idea that millions of people around the world would read his story throughout history in the Bible. He was probably even unsure he should go see the Son of God. He probably fought thoughts of inadequacy. God had a plan for the shepherd though. He has a plan for each of us and through the grace of Christ, we can accomplish the unexpected, the impossible. This shepherd followed the light given to him. I am thankful for Christ and His light that he so freely gives to all. I hope that this painting serves as a reminder of His love for you.
